SmartPhones a Basic Need For Students In Pakistan.

Mobile phones are one of the fastest growing technologies in this century all over the world and these devices are extremely influencing the adolescents.

In our college we are still deprive of this facility.  College students are mature enough that they can differentiate good and bad things .So they know about the positive use of mobile phone. In our college we just know about the disadvantages of cell phone and we just know about the negative impact of smartphones but use of smartphone has many advantages. In our college usage of smartphone is still prohibited even in hostel but this is quite wrong. 

Smartphone are a positive tool for keeping new college students connected to their family. In this way students remain beware of  with their current family situations .

Cornell university reported that a smartphone is "a must" for keeping students linked to family .Students communicate with their parents an average of 13 times per week, and the use of a smartphone to talk to family members,unlike social networking,installs a strong feeling of support and security. 

One advantage of smartphones is that they allow students to find information on the go.They can use the smartphones to complete group activities in class by doing a quick search on a topic. Students can also access university library resources and data bases virtually anywhere,getting a start on the research process without having to wait for access to a computer .Currently,the use of smartphones performs phenomenal roles as far as teaching and learning are connected.For instance, students can access their lecture materials on their smartphones,quickly access information online to meet their information via learning management systems.This was evident in the works of Masiu & Chukwvere(2018) where it was stated that "smartphone has also made students lives easier ,as they can access their college information on the gadget through electronic learning(e-learning) and mobile learning(m-learning).The use of smartphones in learning has become the latest trend in higher education where an individual may not necessarily need a computer set to access elecronic learning materials .Smartphones have made learning more flexible ,easy and have helped to reduce ultimate inherent conventional classroom learning.Now ,we are passing through a very difficult situation of panedmic .So, students are doing their learning online.

In this situation nobody can deny the importance of smartphone for a college that how important it is to continue their studies.The exploration of the smartphone has changed the dynamic of students learning activities.It is refreshing to note that students can carry a whole semester's learning materials on a small smartphones which give students the latitude to learn in an area which ,on a normal circumstances, will require a laptop or other related forms of computer .For instance ,students can access their lecture materials while in a car ,train and market place to mention but a few.It also enables students to register cources online.They are also useful in distant education .It is obvious that mobile learning can be considered as the central hub to enhance distant education.Needs of students become sophisticated that they refuse to carry heavy weight laptops or books and they save  everything in their phones
